A local Food Bank is seeking a Coordinator.
This part-time position requires related experience working with volunteers, participation in the community and sensitivity to diverse populations.
For approximately 10 hours per week (must be flexible outside core Food Bank hours of Tues and Thurs 11-2), the Coordinator will be responsible for the regular operation of the Food Bank and ensuring that outreach activities (including public speaking and donation solicitation) are implemented.
Computer skills (Excel and Word) are required. Quickbooks experience is an asset. This position reports to a Board of Directors and is located in Newcastle.
A valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle are a must.
Applicant must be a resident of Clarington.
Some lifting is required.
Food Safe Level 1 is an asset.
