The event took place on the beautiful grounds of Newcastle Town Hall’s Parkette on Saturday May 27th, 2017. Despite the morning rain, it turned out to be a glorious day and the overall response was overwhelming. It was very rewarding to host a free event that brought together the community of Newcastle as well as increasing awareness for local businesses. We were very fortunate to have support from numerous businesses in Newcastle and surrounding areas. Many gift certificates and raffle gift prizes were donated from these businesses for our Grand Opening event. The event included, live music performed by Durham Shores Chorus, games like Plinko, Denture & Hearing Aid Toss, Mini Putt Challenge, as well as lots of food! The event was catered with BBQ foods, with support from Da Taste (Newcastle), iGreek (Bowmanville) and Brianna’s Sweet Treats provided a beautifully decorated cake. Congratulations to the winners of all the game challenges, as well as the raffle for free hearing aids & dentures!
