To All Members,
The first note to all our members is please have a happy and safe holiday season -Merry Christmas to all. Remember our A.G.M in January. It has been a busy and successful time for us at the Newcastle and District Chamber of Commerce. Over the past 12 or so months we have had some great things going on and we want you, the members to give us your ideas and help us make the next 12 months even better. We are always looking for people to contribute with both ideas and some time so that we can do more for the community. Ask about joining the executive.
What we have planned and done over the past the past year or so:
One amazing thing is that we are actually able to have dollars in the bank so that we can continue to contribute to our community.
We have sponsored a free skate at the Newcastle arena on the 30th of December. Tell your family and friends.
We were able to participate in the name the slogan campaign for Newcastle.
We contributed money to our local food bank.
We sponsored the Santa Clause Parade.
We had a magnificent Annual General Meeting.
As always our trade show was a success.
We offered our membership a True Colours training session.
We were able to offer an H.S.T seminar for our businesses.
We had guest speakers come out to discuss small business and answer questions.
We had some spectacular networking events at Boston Pizza and most recently at the Old Newcastle House.
We had a great evening and tour of the new Algoma facility.
We had a meet and greet at The Village Linen Cupboard.
We are planning many more events for the upcoming year.
