As new President of the Newcastle & District Chamber of Commerce, I welcome everyone to another great year of Chamber events. I thank all our members for their continued support of the Chamber and its Board. I became a Chamber Director in 2013 to become more involved with my community and as a local business owner, to work with other business owners to build a strong business environment. With the entire Board working as a strong team, we are making great strides in strengthening the Chamber as a whole.
We, as a Board are always asked the same questions:
“Why become a member of the Chamber?”
“What can the Chamber do to help my business?”
Simply answered, the Chamber is a business-focused organization with strong community ties. Its strength is its members. By planning events, promoting marketing campaigns, and networking, the Chamber exposes our members’ businesses to the community. Businesses investing in Chamber membership can receive more assistance through our services and community links.
The Chamber sponsors and participates in community events such as Canada Day, Family Skating, and Newcastle Santa Claus Parade.
We have scheduled events for 2014 geared to bring members more information and exposure. Please check our website and Facebook page regularly for updates.
