Treasurer and Board Member (Volunteer)
Clarington East Food Bank
Duties:
Banking (deposits, bill payments, statement reconciliation) Record Keeping of books (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, year over year comparisons) Issue Tax Receipts Review incoming correspondence and refer to appropriate person Coordinate annual audit and liaise with Auditor Attend Board Meetings and give financial update (approx 5 meetings plus Annual General Meeting per year in the evenings) Other finance related tasks
Experience:
Familiarity with Registered Charity Act helpful Finance or accounting related background or experience ( for profit and/ or not for profit )
Current Treasurer is available to help with transition and hand off as soon as possible
